I arrived Friday evening, hot and windy. DWreclk was already there visiting with my Dad. After a short time, Craig_(stillater)_enid, Mary, and ViolettSP arrive and we sat out in the cooler evening air having a great visit. Sat. morning I dawn my gear and make a pass on the trails. Two places were badly overgrown but could be navigated, the traction was perfect. I made about 4 loops, 2 each direction before Zerotact arrives. By this time, it is hot. We suited up for a couple of loops late in the afternoon before heading out for some Casino sandwichs. When nite fall came, we were the only Spodes in camp and much of the hosts were arriving for the weekend reunion.
Sunday morning came in with a big breakfast, family style. Zerotact, a third shifter, was still asleep after about a 30 hour day Fri/Sat. When he finally crawled out of the sack sweating we made a loop. Later in the day, Craig, Derek, Mary, and Anna arrived with their bikes and we hit the trails. When the dinner bell rang, there was a feast, Hearland Spode Special. Fresh catfish, all the trimmings, and lots of homemade ice cream. A few of the riders than didn't think they would pop, rode until you just couldn't see. Nite fall left Zerotact enjoying a few adult beverages until the sandman helped us into slumber.
Monday morning, Zerotact and I made a couple of loops before the heat just made it too miserable to ride. We cleaned camp, loaded up for the ride home and said bye. Very low turn out for the HS's but Justql did make a showing Sunday with his goat's personal trainer.;)

Not much to add, from me. Nice to see Justql and his family again. Another nice Lockwood family get-together that the Spodes were able to crash.
Food was superb, and abundant. Ditto on the ice cream.
That was Violet's last dirt bike experience for the next 27 months, she had a good time.
Made some tentative plans to accomodate Justql and crew if they are able to get to the Golden Eagle.
Lastly, thoroughly enjoyed Bswifts' dad's guitar and vocal skills. Ended up with a 12 minute video clip while the sun sets, listening to guitars, peoples, and bikes. Great video at the start, but only sound at the end.... :bang:
Thanks all!

Sorry we missed the fun this year. BunduBasher moved to Wichita 18 months ago and we were looking forward to hooking up with the Heartland Spodes once again.

Our mom passed this time last year so we've been kinda out of it. Maybe next year?!
