Hi,

In the process of re-assembling my forks I have run across a question. The manual states that you should have at least 20mm of thread showing when screwing the spring guide nut. That isn't a problem but when you put the fork cap back on it eventually bottoms and then to get it torqued properly, while your holding the spring guide nut with a 17mm wrench, the spring guide nut starts to back off and then eventuallyseats up under the fork cap. Is it supposed to do that? It leaves the spring guide loose. Is that OK? It seems the only way to torque the fork cap properly is to allow this to happen although the manual isn't very clear in this area.

Thanks,
Tony
