Delta is a fun track. Plenty of tabletops and just two small doubles. There is a huge step-up and step-down. The up is very forgiving and the down isn't done by too many folks. They say the pee-wee track is for 50 only, but you can get a 65 or PW80 over there. They put in a very narrow gate and it's protected by a "moat" :) so big bikes can't get in. Makes it very safe for the little folk.

Let me know when you are heading down.

As an aside, if your kids need to do the Utah "Know Before You Go" class, I just got certified as an instructor. I'm planning on a class on 5/10 and 5/23 up at Jordan River. The park is closed those days so it makes it much better to teach the class.

Thanks. I would like to get them in a class since I am sure that I have missed something in my instruction. Although my 6 yo son just learned to jump his 50 a couple of weeks ago so, he is thrilled. I'll let you know when we go down to Delta.

UPDATE: It looks like my total is going to be $3669 OTD but, that is out the door with triple clamps and twinwalls :)

I'm stoked!

Regarding cutting the side panels.. I've seen mention of it before, what they do is cut the 'handles' off the inside of the side panel. I never bothered, I figure it keeps some water and mud from being blasted through into/onto your air filter when you're washing the bike.

I kinda like the handles for hefting the thing around. Why would you cut them off?

Motoxpress,
supposedly it gets more air to the motor, helping too make more power..

Nice pic George, the backgrounds will be a little different than that. Take a look at my member gallery for an example of how the side panels will look. They were Factory Effex backgrounds.

Arrrrg!

Well, now I found a deal on the bike I really wanted - '01 YZ 426. I have ridden a '00 that the guy wanted $4000 for. I really liked it but hesitated too long on it and it sold. Now I find an '01 for $3800 - good price. It looks like I'll have to buy both and sell one or the other. Anyone want a brand new '02 KX 250 for $4,500? :p

Have you checked the jetting yet? I'm curious because I'm working on mine right now. I found it runs WAY better on a 40:1 mix than the 32:1 the manual recommends.

32:1 is way too rich. That recommedation from the factory is just to cover them. 40:1 at least. I use to run Motul in my '01 KX and I mixed it at 50:1.
