There is a faster way to get there than going past Moonrocks. I will post directions tonight for the folks who want to ride a different area on Thurday. CJ and Hubby rode there with me last year. This year I know how to get to the sand dunes though!

Hey, I just thought of something. It may be easier for you to meet up with me on Thursday morning and we travel out there together. However, if Will & Jen are going straight to Nixon from Denver on Thurday morning, I can meet you two in Fernley, which is real close to the Nixon turn off.

The directions are not hard until you get just outside of Nixon, then to turn onto the dirt road is a difficult explanation, but I will ribbon it just in case.

Hey Strick- COOL; SAND DUNES!!! We'll get into Reno on Wednesday evening hopefully sometime around 7PM, so we can meet you at that same gas station on Thursday morning if that'll work? How about I give ya a call when we get within range of Reno on Wednesday? Will said he remembers how to get to Nixon, so we could also just meet ya'll there if that works too. KiwiBird- Let us know if we need to coordinate to get you there on Thursday; VERY MUCH looking forward to riding with ya'll again!!!

Hey Kiwi, Is it possible for 4 of us to catch a ride to nixon with you? We are coming down in a motorhome, so driving it around could be a bit of a hassle. We have a 16' enclosed trailer we could hook up to your truck if you can give us a ride. There will be 4 of us and we will arrive sometime wednesday. By the way we will probably need to get someone with a 4by4 truck to help skid firewood this year as we are borrowing this motorhome and need to return it without any damage(if we're lucky). We still are bringing the chainsaw!

Hey High Desert XR400, is Angela a member of DRN or KTMtalk? I was at the Ladies riding school in oregon too but was horrible about remembering names and faces, just curious if Angela has a screen name that I might recognize.

My wife Katy and I were at the Ladies Riding School near Grants Pass last year. Don't remember you from your gospeedracer name. If we are talking about the same Ladies Riding School, you should remember the lady on the 400 EXC that did the back flip off of the log. That was Katy. Several of the Ladies from the school got together last fall and formed a team that ran a 24 hour race in Washington.

Looking forward to meeting everyone at the Reno ride.

Well, it's about -274 here in Iowa right now. Upper 40's and lower 50's is gonna be nice! I just moved another 7" of snow today, grand total of 15" over the last four days. I suppose I could bring the skid loader home and go out and make a Snowtocross track in the front yard. Make the neighbors love me lots.
