2005 crf250 cr500af seat foam

anybody else with a 2005 cr500af or crf250 feel the seat foam is way too soft? on my 2005 cr500af (2005 crf250 chassis) the seat seems way soft.......its kind of uncomfortably soft, when sitting the foam seems "almost" bottomed out and when riding sitting down (thank god not often i stand most of the time) sometimes i can feel the seat pan right through the foam and it feels like i sink right into the seat! i dont mind a soft seat at all like i said i dont sit a lot but when i do i dont want to feel like the foam is bottomed out.its not bad enough that i will run out and get a seat before the next ride but you can defenitly feel it and its a little uncomfortable but doesn't really hirt unless you hit big bumps when sitting(and then you should be standing anyway)but down the road i will be trying new foam so it doesn't feel like im riding a pillow with a motor.

Not sure what model year seat the AF is using, but I can tell ya, my 04 CRF seat was WAY soft, the 05 is much more firm.

hummm its got the new 2005 crf250 frame im assuming its the stock 2005 crf250 seat....its not unridable just would be much better if it was firmer .....maybe i got switched! het okiewan anyway to tell if the seat is 05 or 04?

did the 04 have the grippy stuff on top like the 05?

On the CRF, yes, the seat was a gripper in 04 as in the 05, but they are NOT interchangable. Frame / tank difference. The 04 was so soft, it was a monkey butt maker!

Guts makes a firm seat foam that will fit the 04 250f seat pan in both stock & tall versions.
