That's right! No I'm not talking about a bike. I'm talking about the biker! Yup, I started at 268lbs and I am down to 242.

I always thought it was an evil lie, "eat right and exercise and you will loose weight", turns out its true! I do about 50mins of cardio and about 30-40mins of weight lifting, 3 times a week. :)

A routine physical revealed an abnormal liver enzyme, (imagine that, ChopperDave with a liver issue! :whoa: ), further investigation revealed that I have diabetes. Totaly my fault, after years of drinking, smoking, and eating all I want, with very little exercise took its toll.

Good news is it is very manageable with diet and exercise! My blood sugar runs normal now, unless I eat something stupid, blood pressure is excellent, and I feel better than I have in prolly 20 years! Riding is much more fun too, since I have tons more energy and stamina.

I look much better now naked! :yeehaw:

Congrats Dave!!!!

I too did the exact same thing this year through proper diet and excercise. Dropped around 33 pounds so far and it makes a huge difference on the bike. Riding is so much more enjoyable.... and I ain't embarrassed to go shirtless. Hell... I even tuck in my jersey now! LOL

Right on Dave! As I recall you also did a sleep study? I assume they gave you a C-pap? Did the weight loss help out the Apnea?

If your mullet is long enough, you can tuck it underneath from the back to help cover the front and you've got yourself a Tennesse Tuxedo. Now THAT'S a picture. :yikes:
Congrats on the loss, I'm sure you can feel the difference!

great job Dave! Excercise make you feel good, doesn't it? A couple winters ago I started working out and could tell a difference in how I felt in general, although I didn't stick with it. A admire your willpower.

No, but feeling so good the rest of the time, the hangovers really suck now! So I reserve them for very special occasions.
