Floods out as in gas pouring out the carb over flow or do you mean the bike just ''flamed'' out and quite running..if it's flooding gas and wont start check the needle and seat in the carb, make sure the tip isnt damaged and it isnt stuck..and check your float level and make sure it is in spec..most kdx's kinda ''pee'' outta the overflow a little more than usual it seems. but it shouldnt just pee gas for no apparent reason. while you're in the carb of course always just clean you're jets while the carb is off..dont know if that's your problem, if you can tell us if its doing one of the things i described im sure someone can help.

Did you replace the plug or just clean it? If the plug is new then it will be more than likely the pilot jet is blocked
