98 KTM suspension

It is now dark so I can't see my problem, but I can tell the bike is settling about 4-5 inches. What do I need to check first, is something in a bind or did I blow the shock? Seems to still have resistance. There is some squeaking like something needs lubing also. Any ideas, thanks Rob

sounds like the spring is broken.. If the shock is blown then it would be boinging all over [no dampening]..

Thanks for the reply, as I could see in the daytime that is exactly what the problem is. Never had that happen before. Any ideas? Rob

Well for starters you're gonna need another spring.. you should be able to install it yourself.. As to spring rate? Depends on how your suspension was performing before..I'd contact a good suspension tuner for advice.
