My son who has been riding for a year wrote this for his english class, it says more than I can about the sport....

A SUNDAY AFTERNOON
The smile on my face
The excitement all around
The rev of the engine like a wild cat
My engine sounds mad as it winds out
I feel so free
The air so fresh
I roam around
Because I am adventure bound
Adrenaline pushes me
As I sweat so badly
I feel no pain
Like I'm immune
I focus so hard
Stressing my brain
How to go faster
And how to master
My hobby... motocross

I'd have to say that is one of the best posts that I've seen on this site. Relevent and well written. Hope the teacher is not a tree hugger. If your son rides as well as he writes, get his resume together :p .

Thanks for sharing that with us.

I think your son just wrote the way I've felt (and been trying to describe to friends and family) for years. That peice he wrote makes me love this sport even more.
