Pretty much sums up my thoughts on the matter.
I'm sorry, but the name of this forum is "General & Off-Topic Discussions" is it not? If all you want are posts from like-minded people that share the exact same POV, then say so and I'll refrain from causing you any distress.

Man, I've never seen so many people get their panties in a wad over nothing. Okie, your moderators appear to have more power than you. Closing threads because they don't like them is BS. I have expressed myself respectfully without calling anyone names or resorting to childishness. I can't believe the amount of animosity directed at me for simply having a differing viewpoint. I was always taught that to fully appreciate a situation you needed to hear both sides of any argument. That true understanding comes from listening to all perspectives, not just the ones you agree with. I guess I'll just make myself scarce around here since it's obvious that the mods and regulars can't handle any defiance of the status quo. Talk amongst yourselves.

Are you really surprised by the outcome? The thread you destroyed was a memorial to a person who lost their life, it wasn't a discussion/debate on their ethics or motivations. As Ivan stated

No... it's just you are doing the equivelent of going to a funeral and calling the guy a prick and you don't even know him.

If you don't like the guy start another thread.

This one is "Good Bye Croc Hunter" not, "I don't have any respect for anything in life so I want to be an ass"

Ivan

Your post was tactless and in very poor judgment in my opinion.

Not sure where the door is, or just looking for the Drama Queen exit?

A memorial? Give me a break. If anyone wants to post their condolences they should do it here:

Now if I had posted my thoughts over there, I would certainly expect to get reamed for it.

As you are entitled to your opinion, so should I be. Of course, I'm not a moderator who can close threads when the opinions shared are not to my liking.

Like I said... you want to discuss something then do it but don't piss on someone's memory for your own perverted agenda.

You could have started another thread and nobody would have said as much but you pissed all over that thread.

By not doing so you showed a lot of disrespect and in turn you got it back. You deserve the disrespect though.

I wish you would just leave but that is your choice. You provide nothing of value or entertainment to me.

Freaking Troll.

I get the impression by you quoting me to start this thread and making this statement you feel I closed the thread? If so you need to pay closer attention, I just offered my opinion in the thread the same as you.

Warm marsh mellows over fire to your liking. Place warm gooey stuff on graham cracker, add a piece of Hershey's chocolate and enjoy. Best served while at Dirtweek around the "bomb fire".

Sir, are your last two sentences a promise?

I too relish a spirited debate, and have occasionally found your perspective to be thought provolking, something I enjoy. One thing you said above is that you "have expressed myself respectfully without calling anyone names or resorting to childishness." On that point I, personally, strongly disagree with you. I personally think that this is indeed the crux of the matter which has caused so much negative reaction to your posts. I truly believe that it would have been possible to have conveyed your point of view in a much more respectful and considerate manner. In my POV, you appear to be 'looking for a fight' in most all of your first posts on any given thread; and of course I could be over-generalizing here, but I hope you get my point!

I am not trying to object to you posting your opinion here, but most members that post here are considerate of the fact that this site is intended to be a relatively kind, considerate and most importantly, safe place for ALL dirt bike riders to visit. That, IMHO, is why you have raised the ire of some of the moderators here.

Just my $ 0.02 worth,
Best regards, KW :ride:

MY perverted agenda? Exactly what would that have been?
You could have started another thread and nobody would have said as much but you pissed all over that thread.
In case you didn't notice, I wasn't alone in my opinion. As for pissing on his memory, I gave Mr. Irwin his due several times. My commentary was aimed more as an indictment of what we, as viewers, demand from our entertainment. But so far as the positive things Mr. Irwin did away from the cameras, I recognize his contributions.
By not doing so you showed a lot of disrespect and in turn you got it back. You deserve the disrespect though.
You call my posts disrespect, I call it debate. Regardless, I have yet to respond with any of the vitriol that has been directed at me.
I wish you would just leave but that is your choice. You provide nothing of value or entertainment to me.

Ah, but you and the others have managed to entertain me today. I thank you. :p

Troll House Cookies Gluten Free Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
Two eggs
1 teaspoon gluten free vanilla
1-1/2 cup brown rice flour
1/2 cup potato flour (not potato starch flour)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
One package milk or semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Cream butter (can use dairy-free margarine or Crisco if necessary), sugars, eggs and vanilla.

Mix in dry ingredients, then chocolate chips.

Drop by rounded teaspoons onto un-greased cookie sheet.

Flatten very slightly with fork.

Bake between 350-375-degrees for 12 minutes or so (temperature and time vary by individual oven -- if yours bakes hot, use the lower temperature).

Remove from oven when lightly browned (they over-brown very quickly).

Remove to cooling rack after a few minutes.

Note: Also good with chopped nuts and/or shredded coconut.

Sorry Dillweed, it's not about being a "mod" or not, it's about tactless, pointless drivel spewed all over the death of a human being. Nothing more, nothing less.
Wow! The forum owner calling me names. What kind of example is that, Okie? Without people replying to me I would have no reason to retort. But it's your table so I will acquiesce to your wishes and end it here. Of course, if no one else heeds that remark and further continues to provoke me, I will respond. The decision to end this begins with the rest of you. Let this be the last post in this thread.
