Aluminum frames

Im in the market for a new 450. I have my eye on the WR's. I can get a pretty good deal on a 06 with a steel frame or hold on for a couple months and get a 07 with a aluminum frame. I dont have a price for the 07 yet but im sure it will be quite a bit more money.

Specs on the Yamaha site show about a 3 pound difference. Other than the minimal weight difference would I be missing out on anything by going with a steel frame?

I doubt any difference would be noticeable, and aluminum doesn't flex like steel will, so it would likely feel a bit stiffer.
