Why is every race a spoiler? Just what exactly makes a race a spoiler? Everyone always puts "spoiler" in the title. To me a spoiler would be if say Damon Huffman won. If RC,CR and DV are on the podium, no matter what the order, I wouldn't consider that a spoiler. That's who is expected to be there.

You put spoiler in the title of the thread out of courtesy for those that don't want to know the results before they watch it a week later on ESPN2.

mx547, you say the same thing every week. We would have something to talk about if RC didn't just run away with it. And then if someone else did win, you would be able to post messages to defend why RC didn't win. I personally don't care who wins any of the races now. I think unless RC would get hurt, he has got this year in the bag already, because of his confidence level. I would like to see a very tight points race to get the sport more viewers and make it interesting all season long. I read that the Minneapolis races were down on numbers this year because of all the injuries. That's one of the main reasons why I didn't go, no drama to see RC win every race.

yes, i do. it's sort of my jab at the rc haters. after reed had won those two earlier races, many people jumped on his bandwagon and proclaimed the crown his. athough the series is far from over, it looks like it will take an rc dnf for reed to win it. it's now rc's series to lose.

i guess it means that senior kx rider and i will be the only ones posting.

The best part of the racing last night unfortunately probably won't be seen on TV.

Wards bike died in the second 250 semi. They got the motor swapped in time for the LCQ (just in time, 30 second card was out but Ward had his hand up).

Gate drops and Ward takes a monster holeshot from the far inside gate! The ATL crowd went nuts at that point. Ward proceeded to show his appreciation by waving at the crowd over the triples.

He had RC for about two laps in the main (he got the holeshot again, this time from the far outside!).

Reed looked fast but had a few bobbles that I saw that kept him from catching RC. Didn't hear too much booing (other than the jerk in front of me who managed to boo during the KTM race).

One of these remaining races we'll hopefully get a showdown for an entire race from RC and Reed.

Ward's bike getting put back together was just like a tv drama. They had Jamie Little in the tunnel talking about the bike coming, and 12 seconds before the gate drops the bike comes in, the crowd goes nuts, Ward gets the holeshot, classic. There was alot of good racing, I managed to take 99 pics throughout the day but my camera has a problem with action pictures when I use the zoom but I managed to get a few good ones. Stewart was there talking junk to RC as well, he said the only reason RC told him to wait to move to the 250's was because he was scared of him :). I will be getting pics up sometime today...

Beautiful. Couldn't be better for the sport--JBS praising the families of the Shuttle disaster, bringing things to the mainstream media, and now calling RC out is just the type of interesting "turbulence" we need to get the mainstream in on this. Bubba is a godsend. RC is a god. :worship:

RC has ridden that way his entire career. And he will keep riding that way until he has won more races and more championships than anyone.

For everyone else, the bike swapping side to side in the whoops is the prelude to a dirt sandwich. But RC does it, lap after lap. It's not luck. Love him or hate him, he is one of the best of all time.

i could be wrong but isn't he already tied with mc for the most championships? mc 7sx + 1 250mx. rc 3-125mx, 3-250mx, 2sx. he should get two more this year.
he should be closing in on overall ama wins. i doubt that he'll match mc's 250sx wins though but it's not impossible.

i just did some checking. as of atlanta, mc has 89 overall wins, rc has 85. the next winningest active rider is larocco with 28 wins.

With Bubba opening his big mouth and inserting foot, it reminded me of a comment I made to my wife the other day about all the Hollywood actors' political activism---I wish they would keep their mouths shut and concentrate on what they're good at, because when I see what they're really like I find it hard to watch them anymore!

I was in Atlanta and got to meet Bubba. Bubba is a class act. His comments were meant in fun and for competition sake.

I remember MC saying things like:

"...after this win I think it will get easier from here on out"

I wish Bubba the best of luck and hope he stays healthy enough to have a long (and successful) career.

Solo,

Ivan was strutting around like a proud rooster showing off his VIP badge.

He and his wife were so uppity about their passes they only came down to visit us peons for a few minutes before the races.

Just kidding Ivan, good to see you again and finally meet your wife.

I'll try and post some pics I took a little later (including Ward's holeshot in the main).

I was also at Atlanta and agree that the best part was the whole engine swap on Ward's bike. I would LOVE to see a video of everyone working on that bike... it couldn't have been more than 7-10 minutes for them to completely swap engines. And then when he got the holeshot and won the LCQ it was great.

Lusk was obviously the hometown favorite... then he went down and must have tweaked something. He rode over to his mechanic and then got going again... he rode hard the rest of the race even though he was three laps down from RC. That was pretty cool.

I agree that it does get boring watching RC take almost every race. I go as much to see the pros ride the track as I do to see the actual races. The practice and qualifying is fun to watch too. I can't believe how tight the track is and how fast the pros ride it.

Sorry, mx547, I was away from my connection for awhile, wouldn't want you and SKXR to wave the RC flag alone. the series is within his grasp now, after watching Minn. on the tube I think when Reed pushesRC, then Ricky goes and works harder during the week. Then when RC pushes Reed back he seems to get flustered. As far as runaways go, this is a tighter series than we've had in a while. I think that RC will win it, but I think he will have competition. I didnt get to hear the 125 main on the webcast, anyone know what happened to Ivan Tedesco? I know he must have crashed but don't know how.
