Thought it was another rotator injury since I could not raise my right arm after a little tumble in Reno. When I got back home I got into the doc's on Tuesday and X-Rays reveal a broken Humerus (upper arm) near the top and potential shoulder socket damage (still need an MRI, more to come). My whole upper arm is a lovely shade of Aurora Borealis on the darker side and its very swollen and puffy. Doc said if I was a baseball pitcher, I would not be pitching for 6 months. I think I can be back on a bike in 4, but who's to say.
Even though the X-Ray technician was kind of an ass with his "trying to regain your youth?" comments  the admitting nurse was cool and is trying to hook me up with her son who also rides dirtbikes. :thumb:
Thanks again to everyone in Reno who helped me do everything from wash my hair and zip my pants to loading up my bike and my gear. Blackhawke and Nikki even took turns cutting my steak :worship: (sorry if that made you feel like a geek Jenny!!)
I'm trying to figure out how my life will go on without the use of my right arm for a while. Things like combing my hair, putting on makeup, bringing in groceries, hooking a bra all hurt like heck but I think its only going to be a few weeks til it gets better. The swelling in my arm is limiting most of the small movement so as soon as that goes away things will look up. I put my socks on with one hand today and going without makeup eliminates the frustration I would have experienced there. Baby steps!!
