Buying a bike.. is this a good deal??

Hey all,
Im new to the forums and going to be buying a dirt bike next month, a guy i know is selling an 02 Honda CR250r for 2k. Has about 40 Hours he says and is in great shape, any thoughts? good deal, my last bike was bought new back in high school, and i havnt riddin sience then, im 23 now and ready to get back on a dirt bike, how does the deal sound?

That price seems reasonable however bike prices vary by market. I'm not certain but I believe 02 and older 2 strokes hold their value in California a little better because they qualify for a green sticker.

What is a green sticker? does that allow the two stroke to be riddin all year round?
