carb problem

My son has a 2000 kdx200 and I cleaned the carb because you go for a short ride (1 or 2 miles down the road) and it starts running bad boggy,won"t idle, so I get back home and pull into the garage and gas is pouring out the overflow. :whoa: When I cleaned the carb there was a little sand in the bowl. But we bought the bike used and I think it sat along time. The bike was acually neglected. Is the float level set to high or am I still getting junk :uh:from the tank?

Clean out the tank and set the float level of the carb. Then, check your jetting settings.
