I was riding on some trials and hit some bumps in about 4th gear on my kx80 and the front end started to bounce and turn so i tried to power through it and the bike threw me off and i spun and hit the ground still spining i broke my colar bone and i was wonder how much roost (chest) protectors do to help the colar bone?

Zilch, zero, nil.....

I'm recovering from my 3rd broken collarbone. Chest protectors are still good to wear.... may prevent broken ribs, sternum, etc...

I agree, they do nothing to protect from a collar bone fracture, and I don't think anything will help you there except maybe a foam collar and that will only keep your full face helmet from breaking it. But, usually they break from sticking your arm out or hitting your shoulder when you fall.
