I can not seem to get my 01 CR250 to give me the results that I looking for.

I am 5' 11", 180 lbs, ride loam/hardpack MX tracks in the Beginner/Novice class. I have a tendany to come up a little short on jumps and a 30 ft double is about as far as I will jump. I have resorted to going back to my stock settings on my suspension because when I fix the stiff compression problem, the bike has a tendancy to bounce on landings. If I fix the bouncing, the bike seems to want to wash out going through the smallest ruts and bumps. Every problem that I fix seems to create a whole new issue.

After reading every article that I can get my hands on, I still can not find a simple answer.

When I soften my compression, does it change the way my rebound responds?

Thanks for the help,

Bryan

Wheaty,
There is no easy answer other than clear the jump.. Your in that ugly time where your still learning the ropes. If you want to fix it to work for this you'll pay the price else where.. Try the riding forum..

Wheaty,

Are you landing with no throttle, a little throttle, or pinned when this happens? Remember, throttle and brake position plays a major role in how the bike reacts.

Oh, and there is no pretty way to come up short ;)
