I have a 98 CR250 and I need to replace the rear pads. I can't seem to get the push pin out that keeps the slider pin in place. I have a Clymer manual but it just says to, "take it out." I placed a post in the general repair section and the posts I got were from people unfamiliar with the CR. How do I get that out? It looks like the pin is really shot and I've gone the PB blaster route and everything. Please help. :bang:

I've got a '99 and just had to do the same job. I used the pb blaster and then took an impact driver to it. It's the kind you whack with a dead blow hammer. You should be able to get one from an auto parts store. If that fails you can try heating it with a torch. Last resort is just remove the whole thing and bring it to a machine/fabrication shop. They've got the techniques to get anything out. Good luck!
