So who was "Baz" and why did he retreat to a chicken farm?

The Baz was Paul Boudreaux, and he was a hilarious columnist for MXA. Not sure when he stopped writing for them, but he was there in '76 when I started reading it.

Not sure about the chicken farm part. I did a search on the web and found an article by Super Hunky. Hunky says The Baz joined a monastery after a personal tragedy.

I've still got the very first issue of MXA, all but two of the first year.
He recently did some columns for RacerX (Baz's box, duh) but most of today's kids don't know good literature unless it's on MTV, so his column was canned. I knew I shouldn't have stopped writing Davey Coombs about how good Paul's stuff is but I'm only one man. Anyway, the real story has something to do with his girlfriend passing away and he did join a monastery, it's all in "Monkey Butt." Buy it and read it if you are not a booger-eatin-moron-youngster with no sense of history and honor. Chit man, these kids today don't know a CZ from a Jawa!
