I'll be either on a piece of crap orange 76 ke 175, or my new bike, a recently restored 79 yamaha yz 100 /w/ an it 175 engine (depending on if my exaust pipe gets here today or not)
Holy Toledo, can't miss that bike on the trail! Have fun and maybe we will run into you (not literally I hope). The C loop is easier than the B if it matters, both have a couple of climbs with some roots and rocks strategically located for fun. Part of the B loop also requires a plate to “legally” get to it, so watch the signs if you take that loop and are unplated. Have fun and give us a dirt report. :yeehaw: (Had to pick that one - it said yeehaw!! Lou Ann and Bruno will get that.)
Well a heads up schumanman, I rode the C loop last night and it's very dry, and when it's dry, all the silt comes to the top and is somewhat sandy in a lot of places. B loop might be a better bet, or wait until it rains. Supposed to rain Sunday night, but we're entering the dog days of summer, so no telling.
Glad you enjoyed the trail! I wouldn't recommend the A loop though. It's pretty wide, whooped, sandy, and has been designated a 50" trail for quads and motorcycles.
I got the pipe on my yz 100/ it 175 frankenstein.
Iwith a little throttle, in the first four gears, it'll pop a nice wheelie.
the engine is bored .50 over, has a larger than stock carb and ported.
it's a blast to have a 60 pound lighter, 5 horsepower better bike to ride on.
going from 3 inches on suspension to 9 in the rear, 10 in the front is sooooo much better!
the it 175 pipe required some major surgery to fit on the bike (the pipe leading from the engine to the expansion chamber has been extended and tilted) and the rear of the pipe was chopped off and replaced. it honestly could'nt work better! the fmf turbinecore II is quiet and makes good power.
and no the bike is not a jalopy. it is a nice bike for it's age.
I know nobody really cares, but I'll post some pics.
