is this cool or what? i hope it happens.

stolen from racerx:Here's a note from the aforementioned Mikeee P. Patrick on Guy Cooper's rumored return to the AMA/Chevy Trucks U.S. National MX Championships: "Coop called me today. He's going to race all the Nationals, just like the rumors had stated, but he told me that he is riding a big bore KTM520 (540) that is putting out 72 hp! Holy God man! He said it's a dream to ride, fast but easy. He also said that Travis has been coming to Oklahoma and riding 2-3 days a week with him. He said he knows he has a long way to go because TP is faster in the corners, straights - everywhere. But that he thought when he got back on that bike -vs- a stock 520 that he'll ride much, much better ..."

I hope it's true! ! Coop is an awesome rider. It would be great to see him fnally compete in the 250cc class on a four stoke.

You know he has been riding it for the past couple years now and I am sure that he more than comfortable with the bike. Champship hopes-proably not a contender there but fun to watch...:aj:

I saw Cooper on his 540 last weekend. His form is phenomenal. He took the holeshot easy, then double the first jump after the turn. No other rider was able to double that jump from the start except Cooper. Good luck Coop. I'll be 40 in a few weeks so you know I'll be rootin' for him.

Coop, has always been my all time favorite rider, he hasn't had alot of wins
but talk about the greatest attitude and biggest heart and he wins, everyone
that goes to visit his riding ranch can't say enough good things about the GUY
I bought his video to help inspire my son when he first started riding guys words in the video are inspiring, he a great role model for the younger kids.
Glad to see him back I hope he does great, it will be cool to see him and Dowd
mix it up, a couple of vets on big 4 strokes, it will be fun to watch.

One of his sponsors is the superbike shop of evansville. I walked in the other day and saw a bike with numbers 115 on it. It was bad. It had ohlis suspension, everything was carbon fiber. I walked over to the counter and asked whose bike that was. They replies "Thats the shops bike, but we built it for guy cooper, its a 540" Yea it was really awesome, I got to toutch it too. :aj:

I saw Guy Cooper at the opening round of the Oklahoma State Series a few weeks back. He ran both 125 and 250 Pro and won both by about half a lap. He was on a KTM 125 and the above mentioned 520. He was fast!

He is the nicest rider you could ever meet. I could tell you a lot of stories about him but many have heard them already so I won't waiste your time.
