I just got new wheel bearing and i go to take off my rear wheel and the axle will not budge i have not greased it in a long time. I believe it is siezed to the bearings because the wheel spins fine but the axle will not come out. I am already planning on buying a new axle due to my attempts to remove it but i have tried everything and was just wondering if there was a little secret out there that you guys or girls know.

Thanks. :bang:

Big Hammer and a hardwood block. Don't hit the axle directly with the hammer. Support the tire moderately so the weight is not on the axle.

I had the same problem with my wife's RM. I really went at it with a big rubber mallet while my buddy turned the wrench on the axle. The combination of hitting and wrenching it broke it free. It turned out that the spacer inside the hub was corroded to the axle.

Definitely be careful of flaring the threads. Leave the nut turned on it, but enough slack so the axle will move.
