I'm restoring an old '88 Honda NX250J (single cylinder 250, water cooled) and found that the CDI module doesn't work. The new replacement cost is around $140, and all I want to do is see if the bike runs before I decide to pop for the $140 module. **** has lots of used CDI modules for sale from various bikes, including ATV's (TRX 250X & 350X) which look like they would simply plug-in. Anyone out there know the differences between modules for various bikes? Do the modules for ATV's have built-in rev limiters, or maybe a different spark advance curve? Thanks!
