Screen Name - Care to explain?

I've been here for awhile and I've seen some interesting screen names, Some are pretty obvious and some are not, like mine.

i'll go first

ellandoh is the long sounded out spelling i came up with when registering for things that wont let you use characters like L&O . which grandpa used to call me as a kid, said it stood for little and ornary :think: everyone else thought that was his cover up and L&O was actually something in the navy

almost forgot, here's how my screen name evolved. Original one was Kookooformotopuffs, I think one night I was drunk and had a box of puffs nearby and there ya go. Of course, that was back in the days of AOL dialup, where I would put it on autodial, and wait for about an hour for the stupid thing to let me in. Then, every five minutes it would randomly kick me off, but not without that friendly voice saying, "goodbye". That sucked. Anyway, aparently "kookooformotopuffs", in it's entire eighteen characters of glory, was a bit too long for the system, so amatuer comedian Okie decided to shorten it to "motopuffs". Well, that was fun for awhile (about 1.83743 seconds, which is the time it took my brain to digest it), after that it was either go for the full blown "conversion" surgery including breast implants, or stay a man and change my screen name. After a brief moment of reflecting about benefits such as having the use of cleaner restrooms, I elected to change my screen name to it's present form, "motometal". "Moto" as in, well, you know, "moto", plus "metal". I work with metal.

I've done golf course work for a good while and I'm in school right now to get my degree in turf management.

I use this screenname on some turfgrass forums, and it's just a goofy name of what I do right now on the job. I assist the superintendent.

The real question is what will I do when I get out of college and am the superintendent. Oh well. That's still a few years away.

My screen name comes from the fact that I like YZ's, and my moto number. The number, 165, is derived from my two daughters birthdays. Dec. 16, and March 5.

I created my first online persona to play a golf game (Links LS97) I wanted to use the golf term Chilidip for my nickname which had already been taken, after trying 5,890,203 other potential nicknames that were also taken I opted to shorten Chilidip to Chili. It's going on 9 years later now and I haven't seen any need to change :laugh:

Mine came from a nickname from the kids at school, which was "The Russian", we also had "The German". However, I am not Russian, I just have a Russian name. But I decided to take on this nickname and instead use ComradeMikhail instead. Worked quite well.

I often refer to my kids as a couple of monkeys but my boy needed a nickname of his own. I saw a guy being called Foo (couldn't use somebody else's name) but it seemed versatile, so I started calling him FruFru and sometimes, Little boy Fru. When I talk to other people about himl, I frequently refer to him as the FruMonkey (hence the website www.frumonkey.com) which would make me Fru's Daddy (the FruDaddy). FruMonkey is a little racer, and my relationship with MX is really all about him. I only use Frudaddy for MX related stuff. I did say kids so if you are wondering, my daughter is Stump.
