I did some searching and talked to my Ins. I have an appointment with my primary care doc and from there he will prescribe me the CTI2. I found a place near by that can fit me one and will bill my ins. for my left leg anyway!

i'll have to get a right leg one next, in six months or so

One of the first rides of the season a while back I once again learned my lesson the painful way. Was screwing around doing starts, wheelied over pile-driving one of my knees (been so long I cant even remember which one) right to the ground. It didn't break anything but smashed some nerves and created a whole lota swelling. It took probably two years for the numbness to completely go away. But I did get some pretty looking MRI pictures taken because of my stupid attack  I bought, and ALWAYS wear, knee guards since then.

Was jumping a large Tabletop when big gust of wind pushed him off the side of the landing and turned him a little sideways. He put his foot down upon landing to stop from crashing, and copletely tore ACL, and damaged the menicus

I was racing in a Harscramble when I clipped a tree with my bars. Just enough to rip the bars from my hands. The bike went down and for some reason my right leg went up and got caught between the front wheel and frame somehow. I ended up twisting my foot around 180 degrees and back. Severed the ACL and tore the MCL. I'm back riding again though :)

The first time:
1.) High-sided in a NASTY, off camber, rooty, slippery corner with my knee bent under me. Felt a pop, quit the race, was swollen in 10 min.
2.) 6 wks later looped out, stepped off the back, leg bowed outward at the knee. MAJOR pop, major pain, can't support weight, etc.
3.) -have already scheduled surgery by this time-went for a quick joyride on brand new CRF450, this was RIGHT when they came out. Pivoted on bad knee to swing leg over seat, knee collapses.

Had surgery 10/31/01. Torn ACL, MCL and meniscus.

This fall, I merely fell down on it--was out at the bar (but not drunk) and just fell down, leg bowed outward, felt the familiar pop. Surgery 10/17/03 on other leg.

So drinking and dancing is as dangerous as riding! It's been proven! LOL

I ride in the Asterisks, both my knee surgeons and therapists examined and approved them. I won't go without them. I also snowboard in them. Maybe I should wear them to the bar next time.

I hurt mine 1/1/04. Front end washed out and threw me over the bars and my left leg got caught between the bike and the bars. I heard it pop and thought I broke it. ACL tear and slight tear of the MCL. Going to require surgery. Got my foot on the peg yesterday for the first time, so I hope to be riding again in the next 2 weeks. I bought EVS braces for both legs and got my son a pair.
