Ok, I have looked all over the place on the bike. I checked the frame and usual places. I can't seem to find the location of the VIN number on a 01' CR125 I am looking at. Can anyone tell me where it is I should be looking? Thanks and sorry for the dumb question.

Should be on the head tube. Turn the handlebars to one side or the other and look on the frame where the steering stem passes through. It'll be engraved. Has the bike been repainted? Ask if the frame has been replaced.

The frame may have been bent and replaced or worst case, someone stole a bike and bought a frame to lose the VIN. When you replace the frame, you are supposed to keep the old frame in some states.

Thanks Guys. I finally found it. It was on the head tube but the numbers are a bit worn. NOt enough though that I couldn't read them. Bike is clean. Got a great deal $1400 and it doesn't even look like it has been riden more than a few times.
