Great forum guys!

I just bought an old beater (1993 RM 250) for $700 and planned on completely refreshing the suspension before I head out to ride. I'm about 210lbs. and will be riding MX. I haven't had a MX bike (been riding Harley's for the last 7 years) in a VERY long time, but I do (did) ride pretty hard.

I was wondering if anyone can give me some initial guidelines as to springs and fluids. I'm going to replace all seals, fluids, fork springs, and possibly rear spring and I don't have any idea how heavy they need to be etc. I just want to get close w/the springs initially, then I can fine tune w/the oil, correct? If I'm going about setting the suspension the wrong way, advice on the right way would be appreciated also.

Any suggestions on spring brands, rates, etc..will be greatly appreciated. I'm 33 and alot's changed since I sold my YZ 250 back in 1990. I've got an owners manual on the the way but I figure I can start getting the items I need to get the bike ready.

Thanks a ton for the help and once again, you guys have a great forum here.
