If you take stainless steel mesh wiring and place it inside the silencer's endcap, would that work to keep the hot glowing particles from escaping the exhaust and possibly causing a forest fire? Afterall, isn't the mesh what makes a spark arrestor a spark arrestor? I've looked on the net to find just an endcap to replace the FMF shorty that I have to make it have an arrestor, but I cannot find one. These are just thoughts. I would like to hit some trails, but I do not want to be a factor in an accidental fire.
