Jap import Kdx220 built in 94
I have recently purchased a Jap import Kdx built in 94 yes 94, all parts fit from a 95 on wards normal Kdx eg fmf pipe and silencer, airbox mod.
Having read one of the off road tests 200 v's 220 I think they suggested the 220 motor came from a Jap only market trailie which doesnt have the power of the other KDX's due to smaller carb 28mm but all the hop up parts do fit straight on WEIRD!! so here is the proof that the motor was around in 94 as the Japs got them in 93 onwards, rest of the world got them 95..
I was going to put a Kdx200 carb on for bigger size and better topend performance but on taking my original carb off it is only a 28mm round slide not a 33mm flat slide measured engine side of the carb, so my 200 carb will not fit the rubber or the airbox rubber does any one no of any other differences between the jap import home market bikes and the rest of the world. any help appreciatted.
