K&N Air Filter

i went looking 4 a aftermarket air-filter , A person from a yamaha dealership suggested that i remove my airbox and put a univeral mount and a K&N air filter straight on my carb.....does anybody know if that is even a good idea, does it filter out a good amount of dust and stuff...and so on?

I heard that do a bad job. Either stick with stock or go with the twin set up.

actually that would work pretty good but i rather get the twin
