KTM 125sx 2005 power

I bought last year a KTM 125SX 2005 for my son. Later on I have read that KTM detuned the 2005 model, but retune it back on 2006. Can someone tell me what top end and exhaust system details are different between the 2004, 2006 models when compared to the 2005? What will it take to re-tune a 2005 model????

They didn't de-tune it. They just moved the power slightly downward in the RPM range. The ultimate 125sx would have to include a PC/PC shorty, 38mm PWK, Oxy race fuel, and a worked over cyl/head by someone such as Jbonemotorworks. He deals exclusively with KTM's, and has lots of experience with the 125's.
