KTM questions

I've got a 98 ktm 250exc. I was wondering if these bikes have plated or steel cylinder bores? Also when it comes time to do the top end do I need to hone the cylinder or can I just put in a new piston and rings and re assemble?

it should be plated, as long as the cylinder walls look good with no wear through any plating rings should be good enough.
