KX500/250 rear fender conversion

What year KX250 rear fender fits a 2001 KX500 to give it that nice updated look rather than the fugly thing kawai puts on them? Is there much of a mod required to get it to fit?

Hey now, are you saying that my 2002 KX is ugly since it still has the stock fenders on it?

I like the way it looks; its wider than my 2002 KX 250.

Yea, it may not be as attractive as my slender 250, but it makes up for it with torque :)

1993 KX250

There's some trimming involved but it's pretty obvious and easy to do. It makes the bike look much better.

Like 007 said 93 KX250. I used the one by UFO with 5min of trimming.

Thanks guys, thats what I thought it was. As for the looks, it certainly looks better with the 250 fender, more angry imo. But come on this is a KX500, ride it on the trails with no plastics...........who the f c u k is going to stay any thing to you ;)

Now tell me, WHAT is so ugly about that, OTHER than the gas tank? :)

I hate how they made the gas tank on the KX 500 stick up so far; it looks like one of those oversized desert racing tanks LOL.

Just imagine what the actual desert tank for the 500 looks like! I don't think I wanna know.

This is my 2002 KX 500 BTW. I love how they did the decals and white side panels on the 2002. Its done similiar to my 2002 KX 250.
