i would estimate that 90% of the pros here still ride two-stokes. the four-strokes are more popular in the novice and intermediate classes.

rc was riding the four-stroke. marshall plumb posted this on mxstates. if you don't know who marshall plumb is, then you probably should stay out of the debate:

"For all you people I was at Rickys house lasr week with Justin Bogle, he was going to race the four stroke and will do so outdoors. He never crashed when he blew his knee out, was torn before hand and was going to try and tough it out. He will be strong when outdoors comes along and is really excited to defend his OD title. He also said he was 2 seconds a lap faster on the four stroke. For all you negative people towards ricky, Dream on he is a champion as well as a great person, just ask people that have meet him."

He had torn ACL before and was still riding? I'm not a big RC fan, but I say this qualifies him to be put in the Crazy Ironman Class with The Rock and The Rhyno. Now he just needs a nickname as tough as he is.

Man, my knee hurts just thinking about having a torn ACL.

My brother played basketball for 3 years with a SEVERED, not torn ACL. His knee would dislocate a few times a year, but he never missed a day of work. The doctor told him it wasn't completely necesarry for everyday life, but for playing sports he should fix it.

I would personally like to see the displacement for 4 strokes adjusted to make the classes a little more even. Say, 200 CC for 125 class and 350 CC for 250 class. The advantage now, especially in the 125 class is ridiculous. It's just coincidence that most of the top riders in the 125 class have ridden 2 strokes. Although with Stewart it wouldn't matter what he rides. CC for CC, there is still no comparison, 2 strokes rule.

Jumping up and down? Put your real email in the profile and there wouldn't have been a delay dillweed.

Well you finally caught me and my big fake Email scam. Egg on my face. Anyway thanks for paying up but man you got some tight pockets.

I don't see how RC could not have know he blew out his knee. When I did my knee it hurt like hell (I didn't cry) right after it happend. I didn't fall either, I'm alot like RC only taller and better looking.

...the claims people make on this topic are highly correlated with what they freakin' ride ;) . Bodner's famous 'PITS' study: r=1.0 p<.05. :silly:

So yes, absolutely---I think the KX500 is the best SX bike ever. Consider all 5'4" and 130# of Wardy winning at least one 500 SX title on the desert panzershreck. :scream:

I think there are a lot of ACL deficient people out there (my stepdad is one of 'em), but they aren't pro motocrossers ;)

He don't play softball no more either

XRP, you're right about that.
It's an even bigger problem for women for some reason.
