Most likely won't be there in time to ride much, if at all, on friday anyway.

I'm up for Linton if we get there in time on Friday. Is it a pay to ride place or just open local riding?

I was thinking of a Linton ride myself. However, this ride will be a little more challenging than Turkey. I haven't been in a while, but I should be able to find all the trails. If not, we'll make some ;)

OK, I have a HUGE job quoted for Easter weekend....if I get it I will be one happy man, but won't make the ride. If I don't get the job, I will be IN!
I plan on coming Fri afternoon-ish. I hate all the driving from LBL to Moors, so I will prolly just stay in the trailer at the campground. Most likely ride till noon-ish Sun. and head home.
At least if I wimp out, I'll have a good reason! LOL....:)

That's good enough enough for me!  Linton on Friday it is!

For the guys/gals riding at Linton:  Let's go ahead and meet at Turkey Bay (since everyone knows how to get there) and then we'll head to Linton, once we round everyone up!  We need to leave for Linton around noon Friday, so anyone wanting to ride Linton, that can't make it to Turkey Bay by noonish, let me know, and I'll get you directions (very simple to find).

Oh, and Jay...you're always a wimp ya old geezer! ;)   Good luck with the job.

Walt, you'll have to drive past TB to get to Linton, so it's about 30 minutes plus the time it takes to get from Moors to TB, so prob. 45-50 total.

Anyone that is planning on staying at Moors Fri. and Sat. night:  If you want to come Thurs. night, you're more than welcome to stay at our house.  Doesn't matter how late you'll be arriving.

Here is a map of the route from Moors to Linton (and Turkey Bay).  The yellow hilighted section is where you turn off of 68/80 to get to Turkey Bay (hwy 453 "the Trace").  Turn off 68/80, onto hwy 164 to go to Linton.  Stay on 164 for approx. 10-15 miles of curvy, hilly driving.  Once you see the lake, you're getting close to the riding area.  Look for parking areas along the right side of the road.  There is a stretch of about a 1/4 to 1/2 mile of parking along the road.  Look for other vehicles...it should be us.

Here is a close up of the area we will park in.  Once you leave the guard gate, veer left and get back on the gravel road.  Stay on the gravel road for approx. 1/2 mile and turn into the first large parking area on the right.  It's the parking area with a dumpster and 2 portajons.  My vehicle is a blue Ford Splash with a DRN windshield sticker.

No prob, Corey. It's just like your 426, except it's smaller, lighter, less powerful, and has E-start.

I hate to ride it tomorrow and get it all dirty. NOT!

It's a WR250F, and it's an '03. I really wanted a CRF450, but this deal was too good to pass up. I got it from Scott Plessinger (the off-road guy) in Hamilton, OH. I'm going down to Maplesville tomorrow to break it in.

Woohoo! Is it April 18th yet? :aj:

JP - nice bike.

All this talk about TB is getting me psyched.  It will be my first ride of the season.  Worked on my bike a little today and took a very short spin (to warm up the engine before i changed the oil) around my buddies house.

We'll be leaving Thursday after work  -  Liton on Friday will work for us.  Corey - are you serios about the open invitation Thursday night?? That'd be cool as i don't think that my buddy will be getting to TB until Friday late afternoon with his camper that we'll be staying in.

Sure.  We have 2 extra bedrooms, waiting.  Send me an email sometime between now and then, and I'll give you directions.

Just great! :|  I was just told we're on heavy overtime for the next 3 weeks!  With a possiblity of having to work Easter weekend.  I'll see to it, that I weazel out of it somehow.  MAN!!!  I figured something would come up and try to interfere with this ride.

Corey, that's just wrong. I'll be happy to lend a hand if you need a 'family emergency' to arise.

Rooster, When I asked Plessinger about the condition of the bike, he told me it was 'brand new'. I figured it would be scruffy at least. When I got to his shop and saw the bike, I thought i was gonna pass out. It really was brand new. There was a tiny bit of paint missing from the clutch cover. . .otherwise, the bike was perfect. I laughed all the home.

I really feel like I got lucky. It's about time, too. I was ready for some Karmic payoff.

I won't need any help.  I'm going to get out of it.  No matter what it costs me.  I've been looking around and interviewing at other places anyway.  They'll just have to deal with it.  It's all due to clients pouting and witholding projects until they get the impossible.  We have a project with a PO for 6 weeks of work on the project.  The client calls today and demands to have it by April 18!  We started the project today!  We told them the 18th is physically impossible, but we'll get it asap.  I'm so tired of engineering...  Oh well, enough of me whining.  I WILL be at the ride.

JP ... (Deliverance voice on) That shore is a purty bike you got there. ;)

Is Lemming coming with ya?

We missed you up at LBL this weekend. 23 miles of single track. And on Sunday that came will all the free mud you could eat. Cant beat a deal like that.

Come on April 18th.
