LBL Turkey Bay, Spring ride April 18-20

I did 30-something miles of singletrack and other stuff at Maplesville yesterday. I should be ready for another dose by the 18th.

The good news: I'm no longer on the fence.
The bad news: I won't be at LBL that weekend (actually that may be good news to some). Instead I'm off to GA to visit my Dad who was put in a nursing home today after 6 months of rehab (stroke). I hate that I'm going to miss the ride but I only have one Dad and I'm going to spend Easter with him and my Mom.
As for JP's ride on Sunday, well let me just say that I was impressed. The last time he and I went in the woods I thought that he was going to die after only 25 miles:p And yes it's true, he did ride 30+ miles and did so in good form (although I thought that his red outfit clashed terribly with his new blue bike). Someone please ask him about his xr fifty wheelie crash in front of the blonde that he was trying to impress :laugh:

Doesn't look good for me either. The easter weekend thing is causing some conflicts that I can't work around. Maybe next time :(

Hey AL are we gonna make it down there on friday? I ride out by linton at my first race and liked it a lot, but it's up to you, you're the driver.
We can use my trailer that weekend if you want?! Your van should have no prob. towing it and its a good place for sleeping.

Sleeping on a trailer, sounds fun. Make sure you bring a sleeping bag though. We got snow here in Dover yesterday. In indian mound where I live we got almost an inch. If only I had my bike I would come ride with you. And did you say you raced out by linton??? Is there any races out at turkey bay or linton?

There is a race at Linton on the Midsouth Harescramble series. http://www.msws.org/
No need to worry about snow. Forecast says highs in the 70's and lows in the 50's. But they are showing (the "R" word) for the entire weekend. Hopefully they're missing the forecast, as usual.

heh!! Nothing pulling me away from my ride. I'm allowed to ride on weekends sometimes.... LOL. Really though, I can still ride any day any time (as long as I don't have to work, even then I can always get in a few hours).
Al you oughta come down Tuesday and do a little ridin'. I don't have to work and I can get out of school at anytime..... We could go out to dru's or down to LCRP (aren't they pen during the week?)
Sadley (SP), I don't think I will make it :( I really really want to make this one, but finding someone to work for me on both Fri. & Sat. is almost imposible. Noone wants to work either day, because it's always sooo busy! Also, I need the hours to graduate..... School is more important than riding right now. I'm already missing out on like 5 days of work for D15 races. I will most likley make the november ride though ( I will have graduated by then). Sorry guys, but I gotta do what I gotta do :(
I can still have that guy do the DVD if you guys decide to do some video. He will also want some still shots for the menus. The more video the better the quality. I think he said he can squeeze like 1hr out of 2 hours of video ( or sumthin like that).
If you guys do do some video you'll need to give them to cal or Al and they can give them to me (I will of course give them back so write your name on them!)

BTW, did every one know Limitless finished his race this past sunday and did not break anything.
And I broke my rear break lever on the second lap... I didn't even finish..
Talk about eating crow... I am doing alot of that lately...:)

Patrick and I should be at the Moors by 11 so we can get to TB to meet CAL by 12. The nice lady at the Moors said we could ck in early if no one is in the cabin the night before, but their normal check in is at 4 pm. Do I need to add all yalls names to the front desk so yall can get in if you dont plan on riding Friday?
