You did say you were IN until further notice right? Well then I dont expect any further notice. You had better be there. As it stands right now we got 6 of us in the cabin.

Mikeb, Patrick, Sarge, JP, Rooster and you.

Hey WaltcMoto ... Sounds like we have sleeping space available. Is it too late for you to cancel out of the room and bunk in the cabin with us?

I'll be there between 7 & 8 pm Friday night. I have to be back in Birmingham by 8pm Saturday night though. I'll have to leave by 3pm Saturday to make it back in time.

I'll pay for both nights.

MAYDAY!!  MAYDAY!!  :uh:

It apears that my buddy from Nashville who i had planned on staying with at LBL in his camper is backing out because he thinks that there will be too much rain.  :flame:

This means that i might not have a place for Friday & Saturday night to stay.  He's supposed to call me later today to confirm if he's going or not.

Anybody have room in any of the cabins or something?  I have three people (Wendy & I plus GreenMan (Tim)) total.  Otherwise i assume that we can find a hotel somewhere in the area.  But you know what assuming can get ya!

Oh yeah - just in case any of you might want to send him some words of encouragement ;) or possibly question his manlyhood - here's his work email address:  RSmith@ssoe.com  (Randy is his name - rhyms with pamby).

Guys, I hate to say it, but I have to work Fri, Sat, and Easter Sunday as well.
I've been holding out hope till the last minute, but it aint gonna happen.

I enjoyed the last big meet at LBL and I was really looking forward to this one.
Oh well, I will definately get down there some time this spring and ride with y'all.

I'll be in hardhat and safety glasses whilst y'all are roostin it up on the rocks! Have fun, and BE SAFE!

Corey, take good care of sarge and eddie...don't let em get lost after dark. :)

Hey WaltCMoto, Maybe I pulled the panic button too quick. I have two buddies coming up with us and Eddie may have another so it lookslike we are full to capacity again. I guess the plan will stand as is. You guys are welcome to hang out with us in the cabin but if it is a bed you seek for Friday and Saturday nights it looks like the Lodge will be your best bet.  I didnt realize the first night is billed in advance and is non-refundable. It wasnt like that last year.

Jim (KelvinKDX) Unfortunately it looks like we are full again. You need to talk your bud into coming on down. We rode in the rain there last year and the ground was perfect.  You know rain doenst affect this place. BTW dont you guys have a camper too?

JP, Do you know how to get there? I am sure you will be coming up thru Nashville right?  Take 24 out of Nashville towards Paducah. The rest came straight from the Moors Resort Website: from Interstate 24, take Exit 25-A onto the Purchase Parkway. Take the first exit (#47) and turn left onto US Hwy 68. Go approximately 5 miles and turn left onto Hwy 963 (Moors Camp Hwy). (Small sign on right that says "The Moors" ) Follow the signs, about 5 miles. We are staying in cabin #32. It is right behind the big 2 story log cabin on your left as soon as you get to the resort. If for some reason you get lost call Eddie's cel phone OR Patricks (901-619-3079) CAL help me out if this aint right.

Mike - Yeah - i've riden at LBL in the rain before too.  And Wendy's riden in the lake - so she knows what it's like to be wet at LBL.    My buddy lives 1.5 hrs from LBL but is afraid he might melt.

Yeah - we've got an RV but it's not ready to go and we are (in about an hour).  Worst case we'll sleep in the back of the bike trailer. :(

We're meeting at the entrance to Turkey Bay.  Leaving for Linton around 12:00.  The crews from Memphis, St. Louis, and Ohio will be with us for sure.  Not sure who else is planning on showing up.  Last time Motormichael and Lee were here by then.

Everyone remember there are maps earlier in this thread showing how to get to Linton. (In case you can't make it to TB by 12:00)

Brent, we may head to Turkey before 12:00 and play around a little while.  Depends on how late the Ohio crew gets to our house tonight.  Call me, or stop by the house on your way.

I'll have my phone with me.  That is 5pm Eastern time, right?

I just called Early American resort in Aurora.  They have a room avail. for tomorrow and Sat. night for $42.95 or a kitchenette for $60.00.  Aurora is about 10 minutes from Turkey Bay.  You guys are welcome to stay with us Fri./Sat. , but it's a bit of a drive for a shower.  There's no reason you're buddy should miss out because of rain.  There's only 30% chance Sat. and 50% chance of scattered rain, Sunday.  Plus a 0% chance tomorrow.

We'll either be at the entrace by the guard shack or the meeting place.  Just look for a goofy looking group of guys with DRN fender stickers or DRN stickers on their vehicles.  Click on the YZ426F link in my signature to see what my bike looks like.

Sorry I missed the event--- most of the people I was to go down with whipped out and I found out I had blown a rear bearing and blow the rear hub as well, looks Like I am going to have to save some $$ for Excel rims......

Hope all had a good time and were safe....

till next time.

You guys from Indiana sure did some major whimping out!  Not one hoosier at the ride! :|   Anyone who missed this ride, missed a GREAT time!  We played in the mud at Linton, and flat out covered some ground at Turkey Bay.  Patrick needs to hurry and post the pic of Sarge's teeny wheeny bruise he picked up at Linton. ;)
