Hello everyone.

I have a 1989 KDX200 and was wondering if anyone
has converted their KDX to be street legal? Is there a kit out there to do this? :yeehaw:

Also anyone know where I can get replacement wiring?

Thanks

Heck, just make sure the head and brake lights work, throw on some $15 mirrors and a $5 honkey-horn and you're set.

At least in my state. :)

Same her - minus the monkey horn. Actually - I took my bike straight fromt he dealer and had in pass inspection bone stock. I have since added a brakelight, hron and mirror. My dualsport kit weighs 2 pounds.

There are very few options that dont involve rewinding the stator - it only puts out about 40ish watts. I pulled the stock light apart and replaced the stock socket with a 1157 type automotive. Then - get an 1157 LED bulb - they run only .5/2 watt and will not dim your headlight.

My bike is only legal to connect trails etc - but I do run around through the subdivisions after any maintenace etc - I get some strange looks.

If you do get a tag - make sure you are legit as you WILL get pulled over. The Man has been very nice so far and just wanted to check things over.

Obvisouly states vary greatly - but most are pretty easy.
