Miles from reserve to empty???

I did a search and found some posts on how far one can expect to go with the KDX on a tank of gas. Average was somewhere between 40 to 60 miles. But has anyone ever figured out how many miles one can expect to get from the point you hit reserve to the point you run out of gas?

of coarse it all depends on how you ride. But there is supposed to be 9 tenths of a gallon on reserve

I tested this in desert conditions. Fire road, sand washes, fast trails. I got 65 miles to reserve and 12 miles on reserve before waaaaahhhhhhaaaaaa-stop. <img>

Thanks!!! I'll remember that!!! I'll figure 10 miles on reserve to be safe. Basically, when you hit reserve....HEAD FOR HOME!!!!

I was able to do 2.5hr harescramble races on a stock KDX without a pit stop. Mileage varied depending on how open the courses were.

Damn I thought my poor gas mileage was from running too rich. Our bikes suck for economy. I ran out of gas one day and thought I had a hole in my tank. :) Nice 2 mile push.... :yikes:

My bike sucks the juice, I am lucky to get 2 hours off a tank...as a matter of fact I dont get 2 hours off a tank. Not sure how many miles I get , but can figure it out off a map...ill get back with a number.
