i have a 2002 yz125, i have everything possible done to it. i sent it out to eric gorr for a big bore kit(134), port and polish, the head shaved, v-force reeds, fmf fatty pipe with a shorty silencer, power now system and that is about everything i can do. i race in the woods and the bike has the power of a 250. it is unbelievable what 9cc's will do for ya. i never have to feather the clutch. you can ride the bike like a 125, wide open. or like a 250, short shifting and just hammering on it outta corners. i would recomend that mod to anybody who has the money to do it. to get that much power out of it, it cost me about $2500.

Hey Raceready99,
Man, sounds like your bike it FULL tilt. I have thought about the big bore kit, but will probably just go with the port and polish. What scares me is the maintenance. Since all of those mods, how often do you have to rebuild the top end. Rings? Thanks for the info!

same as always, i put a ring in every two months. after every four months i put a new piston in. it is well worth that much stuff though, the bike is unbelievable. you won't believe the filling you get passing 250's and big four strokes.
