Thanks for helping me with the picture.
I see why everyone likes the 200 ,, with the mods we did ,this bike
has decent bottom end , incredible midrange pull and still good top end.
Still fine tuning the jetting but for now 42/152 is working good.
Runs far better than my 220 with a larger carb.

New Picture Page Three

These M-12 tires are way under promoted as they are a terrific tire and for about the same price as any premium tire.

The others are a universal Monster sheet by FX
I'm very impressed by the quality as their all made by 3M .

See page three for more information.
The rear fender is by Maier , distributed by Frederette Racing
Thanks for looking

I just sold my CRF250X " never liked it !! " and the KDX 200 and 220 we have are definite keepers . No comparison , so much more fun to ride . Honda really missed the handling target on that one .

Lets not start another tranny oil discussion as this is only my opinion on an experiment .

What ever your lube of choice is , use 4 oz. Lucas oil treatment in your next oil change , upshifts and downshifts are extremely smooth and the kips system is quieter.

I've been running around 900cc total fill with Maxima 80 weight.

Thanks ,

We're keeping our two KDX's for a long time ,,, so maybe someday I'll find some KX front forks for them. I'm sure it's fairly hard to find some that are in good shape.

The more we ride our KDX's , the more I truely love a two stroke.

With all the four stroke hype , new riders will never experience this kind of handling and responsiveness.

Again , I hated my CRF250X from the day I bought it !! I put a ton of money in it and still didn't like it. The first hour of riding my KDX I knew this was the one for me . I just ride it and don't constantly think about how much I'm fighting the bike .

Maybe someday the trend will turn around and Manufactures will realize they can still sell a two stroke .

If Kawasaki was more aggressive at marketing then they would reintroduce the 2 stroke KDX.

I probably shoudn't say it , but KTM has no problem selling 2-strokes today. Their 300 2 stroke is the biggest seller.

For my son who's around 140lbs I went back to the .35 front springs and stock spacer.
I also raised the fork tubes .250 in the clamps to better balance the bike.
This with a 4.60 rear spring handles great.

If I was to do the front spring upgrade over again I'd strongly consider buying the oem Kawasaki replacement springs ,,, they fit better and the rates are closer than some of these aftermarket ones.

Try a couple ounces of Prolong Metal treatment in your front forks ,,, drastically reduces the friction. Just my opinion .

See pg. 3 for the part numbers and yes it took a little creativity to
make them work , alot of cutting and piecing together.

If you have no patience ,, buy ones that fit the bike

This tread really helped me to get the graphics from the kx250 to cut and fit my bike. this is what my bike looks like with the fmf graphics from the kx250

I've got a Eric Gorr 225 top-end kit coming for it ,, hopefully it
will give it the great low end of a 220 .

I was lucky to find another cylinder and head in really good condition so he can get this done with no down time of the bike.

11-1 compression head should help also.

Night and day difference , far more power everywhere .

Runs stronger and much cleaner than my modded 220 .

I highly recommend this for anyone wanting more power out of their 200.
