Need to find a bike for da Wife

My wife agreed she will have to get into the dirt sooner or later. She is the kind of gal that picks things up quickly, we used to mountain bike alot and she got pretty good and agresive, enjoying what I would call black diamond material. That has been a few yeas ago, we havent ridden much since our first was born 4 years ago.

I would like to ger her somthing she could build her confidence on without being not enough bike. The problem is she is short, only 5'1" and not all legs. I would think a KDX would be a great bike for her, but without mods the seat height is out of the question.

I would prefer to buy used, and I suppose doing some kind of mods to lower is not out of the question, cut seat, lowering links, raise forks. I am not sure what kind of total seat height reduction is possible without upsetting the balance of the handleing.

You might want to PM Mini (FireLily); she has a KDX for sale. It's clean and the seat has been shaved. Also Karna of Justin & Karna (sp?) is she still has it.

A fellow recently insisted I ride his wife's Pampera (Gas Gas). It comes with a low seat height and trials-like engine. An ideal setup for the shorter rider. Give MotoWest a call.

A late-model XR200 ('90 up) would be a good choice were it not for the high resale and high CG compared to the KDX/Pampera.

Wow, I just googled gas gas pampera, that would be the ticket, but she is not allowed to have a ride that cost more than mine :laugh: I think this is the kind of ride for her to shoot for, 33 inch seat height and a 250 trials motor.
