My little sisters 80 runs but i noticed u can move the kickstarter and it never feels like its at tdc it just moves effortlessly i figure it needs a new ring i seemed to wear out fast I think the piston is bored and a .050. im a 250 rider and dont know much about how often small bore stuff should be done

I would do a compression test and see what the compression is. If your used to using a heavy leg on your 250, kicking an 80 will seem rather easy.

On my rm80, I could move the kick starter with just my pinkey finger, so i figured it was time for a rebuild. After the rebuild, it's about the same so it should kick over fairly easy. You should be able to feel the "hard spots" in it though. If it's been over 60 hrs. on the piston, it should need a rebuild.
