I just bought a 2001 KDX 200. I pick it up this sat. Well the bike looks great with a few mods but it needs a new top end. The seller said it just needs a piston and rings. So where can I find info on how to do this? :yikes: I'm not arfraid to just rip it apart but it would be nice to kinda have an idea of what I'm doing.... :coocoo: I understand the basics but have only worked on 4 strokes. I've read a few posts where some say dry and some say wet rebuilds. I understand the difference but what is better for longevity? Thanks guys....

Oh yeah I've seen the JustKDX forum.

Welcome to the site

I see where you have gone to your User CP and updated information relating to your location. Grab a spot on the couch and tell us a bit about yourself. How long you have been riding, what kind of riding you prefer, where you are located, etc. We will do our best to hook you up with some fellow dirt bike enthusiasts.

Check out the Every Kdx Rider Should Read This! thread in Canadian Daves JustKDX forum. It will lead you to piles of information on the KDX. Our own FredT, dirtbiker extrodinair has authored a compendium of information relating to the venerable KDX. Be sure and check it out!

Also, peruse the General Bike Repair forum for good info and great folks always willing to help out, answer questions or just offer support.

Check out the Southern Spodes forum for opportunities to hook up with fellow DRNers

Again, welcome to the site, and shout if you have any questions!
