I just bought a 2001 RM 250 My wife says Im going through a midlife crisis :blah: Anyway a friend of mine had an old 87 version and had it stripped down 7 years ago. He couldnt afford to fix it and his eleven year old had brain cancer and he always promised her a lst ride. I was a Yamah tech in My school days so I rebuilt it for him and got the bug to potter around on a 2001 RM 250. Trouble is Im 5'7 and 165lbs. Is there anyway of lowering it an inch or so so I can kick it over and not like an A#$HOLE?

Cut your seat foam or get a lowering link set-up.

That being said, at 5'7", you're plenty tall to be kicking that bike over without much adjustment to the height of the bike. I have a buddy that's 5'4" riding a kx250 without any height adjustment whatsoever, and he gets along just fine. If it really bothers you though, I would just look into cutting the seat foam a bit. You can easily get an inch of height of just cutting the seat foam.
