Opinions on a 2000 Honda XR 100

Going to look at a 2000 RT100 that was ridden only a handful of times, and probably not since 2000. The guy bought it new for his son who had no interest what-so-ever. This thing is suppose to be like new. Carb needs rebuilding since its been sitting so long. He's asking between $600-$700.
This would be for my 10 1/2 yr old daughter, who cut her teeth on a PW80.
Thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, so my brother doesn't know a Honda from a Yamaha. checked out the bike this evening and it's a 2000 Honda XR100, and not a Yamaha RT100. Good condition, with typical scratches on the plastic. Still won't run due to the carb. The guy wants $750. Good deal?
