Our new one

Well we were looking take a vacation before the baby came. But last night Quentin decided that we would not go for it. So via emergency c-section he joined us at 8am this morning (2 and a half months early too boot).

Here is is, 2lbs, 9oz and 15 inches long:

Congrats Kav amazing what these kids decide on their own (BTW Spider was only 7 weeks early so expect a kid that is always looking for what comes next and not what they are doing now. Something about Premies that they just can not wait)

Right now he is doing very well, He is off of the vent and only getting some O2. but they think he will be off of that in the morning. They think that if he keeps this up we will get to hold him tomorrow.

Good news about the vent off - the lungs are always the last thing to mature.

2lbs 9 is a tiny little peanut. I'm sure he'll be in the NICU for awhile.

Modern medical technology is amazing.

he had a rough day yesterday, but he's doing better now. We got him baptized this afternoon.

We were texting back and forth last night.

Quentin is a guy's guy ... he know how to fart ... :)

It sounds like things got better into the evening.

I also talked with Kav late yesterday and he sounded pretty upbeat although realistic about how things will progress.

he's a little over a month old now and going great! He is breathing on his own and off of the IV's. But he is still being tube fed. He has also gained a whole pound and is now up to 3 lbs 10 oz, so he gets to wear clothes now.
