Go RC ! He put some distance on CR...The times were close but RC had a faster best lap and a faster average time....Not by a whole lot but at the end of 20 laps it can mean a double digit gap of 14 seconds.

Looks like kawasaki isn't gonna have much exposure this year in SX. What a bummer for Bubba..I really wanted to see a real race with him in it.

Well,
Terry Boyd did come over the PA and announced that word from the pits was that Factory Kawasaki moved Sean Hamblins bike and mechanic over to the factory rig for the evening. I have a feeling after hearing that, Bubba is going to be out for quite some time and they are looking for someone else to fill his spot...

Someone ran him up into the tubb blocks. He got back up and rode a lap or two, but was riding slow and looked pretty sore. It wasn't a hard fall but his legg was stuck/crushed under the bike which cause a limp for some reason.

It might be a boring year now:( RC is pulling on CR -CR needs a little luck to get into the think of it, RC is looking strong on the RM.

I know they're factory bikes but that RM must be exactly what the mags say about it being a 4 stroke killer....RC has had a holeshot in every main and even in the slick mud...I can't wait to hear what that bike sounds like.

If CR gets a top 3 start we are going to have some really good races...Looks like Tortelli was moving pretty good through the pack.

In the hands of rc and cr a 2 stroke is a better sx weapon-they will revert to a 4 stroke outdoors. The rm is the bike RC needed for SX IMO.The honda was lacking in bottom end for sx.

Since Metcalfe failed to make the main, all the 125 class was mounted on 250fs. FWIW, I think Marmont still rides for KTM and was not on a Kawasaki as shown in the results.

Last night, I don't think a top 3 start would have helped Reed much. He could not reel in Windham at all, much less RC. In the post race press conference, Reed sounded absolutely depressed.

Sounds like Windham and RC had an absolute dog fight the first few laps while they gapped the field, so that should be fun to see on the broadcast.

Yup. The more things change the more they stay the same...

Reed said he has watched replays of Stewart's crash, and it looked as if Stewart suffered some kind of mechanical failure.
Maybe like the KX bogging on the famous vid of the "quad jump case-job" on his home track? No doubt, if it was a bike failure, we'll never hear about it.

Nice finish K-Dub. The man has game.

Looks like the war is on between DV12 and the Rock. The boys were pushing each other out of the turns. Note to AMA...let the boys play!

This wasn't a techinical track. Everybody was doing the same jump combinations the whole race. Very little variation. CR struggled last year on these types of tracks. When its technical and he can put tricky jump sections together he's fast. I think Bubba was trying to make something happen that the track wasn't set up for, to up the ante for the other top riders. But it bit him in the butt. CR has his hands full now. I think if any of the top riders gets a holeshot and is allowed to run their own pace up front, they will win 90% of the time. K_Dub had his chance but RC showed him otherwise.

Big night for Suzuki!

RC says the RM has the most bottom end of any bike he has ridden in the past. I also have been hearing that from regular riders like us for a couple of years. Being a Honda guy I don't know what that feels like. Glad to see DeCoster get what he has been working for so long.
Like the mags say you can hate RC or love him but don't bet against him. :worship: Its a long season we'll see what happens. The other guys better catch him out west, b/c he always seems to turn it on in the east.

I think that is true. Now what is his excuse for getting beat by KW?

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm dissapointed we didn't get a chance to see James Stewart run with the 250 regulars. Conflicting reports on his lap time......one place said he he had times faster than the rest and another RC had the fast times.

Where any lap times recorded where true comparison makes sence?

I'm certain he will return with a vengence as he has done in the same situation before. Hope he's OK.

Is this becoming a trend? Hope not.

weimedog - Your right, it was very disapointing that we didn't get to see the gun fight at the OK Corral!

With Bubba out and Pastrana as a question mark, the ranks have started to thin and its only round two! :yikes:

Something else, RC placed 20th at Anahiem in 2002 and still won the champanship. CR maybe down, but I don't think you can count him out yet. I'm still pulling for RC, sorry Pred! ;)

Actually kind of bad luck for Chad again... watching the start, he was 4th on the hole shot behind Voss and was looking to pass right away when Voss had a bobble that bounced him right in front of Chad. looked like Chad had to slow down or go down.. that took him out of the fight for first with Kdub and RC. I don't think he could have gotten by RC, but he might have gotten Kdub.
