I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm dissapointed we didn't get a chance to see James Stewart run with the 250 regulars. Conflicting reports on his lap time......one place said he he had times faster than the rest and another RC had the fast times.

Where any lap times recorded where true comparison makes sence?

I'm certain he will return with a vengence as he has done in the same situation before. Hope he's OK.

Is this becoming a trend? Hope not.

SXGP has the laptimes and RC was faster

Last year it was the CR and KW series and it made for interesting racing. Then RC is back at the nationals, KW has a faster race "rabbit" dont play KW down. He appears to be over his battle of "5 laps and I am done" illness. KW seemed to keep his eye on RC most of the way and even had areas where he was putting time on him. I am sure it isnt bothering RC to have KW running in second, as it is a nice cushion towards the "Prize". CR will have to dig deep to get where he wants to go. He does have the ability, I see the RC, CR, and KW show giving us some good racing. The DV and Larocco show giving us some good entertainment. I still enjoy watching MC even if it is for 3 laps. If TP could get himself healed up he may be able to play with MC out back. The supercross tracks are scary in design, I think that anyone who makes the qualifying rounds is a great racer let alone the main event. Hats off to all of these guys. I wish JBS a fast recovery and hope to see him back as soon as he is ready.

Hmmmm . . . . Let's see . . . . . RC ran away with it and Bubba busted his :moon: . Big surprise.

I would have liked to see KW rub on RC a bit. Show him a wheel. Nothing too aggressive, and while he was close enough to do so.

Maybe . . just maybe . . RC would have got rattled a bit.

Or perhaps (probably) RC would have found another gear!!

Oh well; at least I don't have to bet on Bubba any more. That arm sure looked like it had too many elbows. Ouch.

He followed KDub for what, 10 laps? Seems that was enough time to catch him, if he was turning faster laps. He stayed 7 or seconds behind, for the majority of the main.

But he was never real close after being slowed down by Voss,, he ended up 4 seconds behinde Kdub, about the same distance as after he was slowed down.. Kdub had a faster best lap, but Reeds last couple of laps were faster.. I think if they would have been close from the begining it would have been the best race on the track.

Reed wasn't fast enough that night to catch Kdub but had he been right on his tail he might have been able to capitalize on any mistakes. Also Kdub would have had to alter his lines to protect the inside, which he never had to do.

Any way, Kdub looks like he picked up a little more speed this year and unless he has a major bad race Reed will have a tough time catching RC or Kdub in the points.

I originally said I thought Reed would be third this year.. But I picked Bubba to be second. Still going to be a good year.

The only reason Reed got as close to KW as he did is because KW went into cruise mode and settled for 2nd on the last few laps. That AMA live scoring is pretty handy for watching lap times. Too bad the webcast won't work for me.

I you don't think Reed will beat KW more times than not this year, you are a lttle overconfident in KW. He is an unbeleivable rider, but the same Reed shows up every weekend if anything he will improve mevery weekend. Kw you just never know when it will good and when it will be bad.

clw--the last word was that Bubba's was faster,...that there was an error not accounted for? Who cares anyway, right?

It might be a boring year now RC is pulling on CR -CR needs a little luck to get into the think of it, RC is looking strong on the RM.

Marcus, I'm surprised no one besides me is seeing this, but Chad looks frankly sick. Wasted, skinny, no muscle mass, etc. You could see it very well during his interviews with the 'CR' hat on...compared to last year, it looks like somebody shoved a strong vacuum in his mouth and left it there for a couple days.

I think his training/diet approach is what's doing him in. He was much faster than this last year. I think he changed his approach nervously, because he knew he was going to be facing RC's incredible conditioning. So, ironically, we've got a watered down Reed, and a flattened and absent Stewart--RC's the only guy of the Holy Trinity that's left. How disappointing?

I'm glad to see Windham kicking butt when nobody considered him to be a threat. There were three names talked about all off-season long and Windham was forgotten about by most. Nice to see him proving everyone wrong, last year (SX) was no fluke!

I hadn't really noticed how sickly he looked until the interviews Saturday. I agree, the guy looks gaunt and totally worn out....

I'm not impressed by the lap time thing. KW commented before the race that he would only ride within his limits. Maybe if RC and KW decided to ride closer to the edge, then they would be the ones with the faster lap times and broken arms. Incidentally, the announcers commented that KW was running lap times that were faster than RC's in practice. That seemed obvious in the first few laps when KW was pushing RC. After 15 laps, though, it was a whole different scenario.

RC wasn't jumping through the second whoop section in practice or his heat the way he did in the main. He didn't show his cards until it counted.

No wonder Reed looks like a defeated man.. He's married now!

Now THAT'S the funniest thing I've seen in a while. Only married men can truly understand!

I thgnk most paople are jumping the gun thinking reed is down and KW is gonna be great, only two races in. A lot can happen in 14 races and I have seen RC have a few close calls already. How often do you see Reed landing on the tuff blocks? I think KW will have a few bad races that will cost him a chance at the title just like last year. It is RC's title to lose,

Well i just watched the race-im not so sure chad doesnt have a few tricks up his sleeve, the track was fast and slippy-once you loose the sight of the leaders its very hard to keep up.

I reserve judement till a few more weeks, BUT he needs to get the starts!!!

So has RC sold his soul to the devil???? hes a machine and never seems to crack under pressure-i just dont see how he goes so fast week after week and gets away with those bobbles. And again his amazing starts.

I don't think Ricky has, but Roger D may have just to keep the Suzi SX 250 jinx from happening. I predicted Reed to win it all, knowing that Ricky and Bubba would be faster but:

1) I thought Ricky would win the first 4-5 rounds, then start to see the weird Suzuki "luck" come into play for a few rounds

2) Bubba wouldn't keep it together for a whole season battling w/ the likes of Reed, Ricky and Windham and especially himself on the 250

Sure liked seeing McGrath up there on the starts as in days of old.
