plug reading

hey, how do i break the threads off the plug nice and clean so i can see the hole insulator. i've seen the pics of plugs like this here but dont know how they do it. thanks

i thought there might be an easier way than hackin the plug.

I put the plug upside down in the drill press and hold a hacksaw to the base of the threads. I don't cut it all the way through on the drill press, I put the 'scored' plug in a vice and use a pipe wrench to turn the threads off.

Dremel with a cut-off wheel works good

As for posting a pic don't use "quick reply", use the "post reply" button. Down at the bottom on the left side is a place called "attach files" for your .jpg
